The Waterfall and Ice photo print was taken on the coldest day we’ve had so far. Of course, that’s when we decided to go exploring and stumbled upon this stunning waterfall in Illinois. My luck was with me and so was my tripod. I set up and played with long exposure, and caught this gem. My family stayed in the car with the heater blasting while I fussed with my settings until my fingers froze. I realized I left my gloves at home, but I didn’t mind. I photographed the whole area, with it’s dripping icicles and sun filtering through the trees. We’ll have to come back and visit in the spring.
The photo is printed on Kodak e-surface paper (a professional photographer favorite) that boasts beautiful color, tones, and saturation. The print is then applied to a thick mat board for the killer combo of beauty and strength. The print is printed with UV resistant inks but can last a very long time if kept out of direct sunlight.
Where was this waterfall found? At this lovely campground. From what I’ve seen on the internet, the summertime photos show a significantly smaller waterfall. I feel like I won the lottery by seeing it in winter when it is full and flowing. Hopefully, it brings you joy, as well.
